# Free trial

Charlla is a subscription service, but your first month is a one-time free trial. Check how long the free trial lasts and what it includes.

## Free trial period

Your free trial lasts **one month**, starting on the day you sign up for Charlla.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you sign up on March 15, your free trial also starts on March 15 and runs from March 15 to April 14.
{% endhint %}

## Plan included in the free trial

You get the **Standard plan**.

### Overage charges during the free trial

{% hint style="info" %}
What is an overage charge?

An overage charge applies when your videos' loads in a month exceed the loads included in your plan.
{% endhint %}

During the free trial, you aren't charged for overage, even if you use up all the Standard plan's player loads. Try Charlla as much as you like before you decide!

## Continuing your subscription

Starting two weeks before your one-month free trial ends, a pop-up asks you to register a card so your subscription can continue next month.

**Three ways to register a card and continue your subscription**

1. Go to **\[Payment]** > **\[Choose Plan]** and select a plan. A pop-up opens where you can add a card for automatic payment next month.
2. Go to **\[Payment]** > **\[Payment Method]** and click **\[+ Add Card]**. As in option 1, you choose a plan first and then register your card.
3. During the free trial, a pop-up appears when you log in 14, 7, and 1 day before your subscription starts. We also send you an email reminding you to register a card.

{% hint style="info" %}
The free trial lasts one month from the day you sign up. If you sign up on March 15, you can use the free trial until April 14. Your first payment date is April 15.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://support.charlla.io/en/userguide/freetrial.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
