# Copy the player code and link

Copy the player link or code with one click, then paste it into product detail pages, your Instagram profile link, social media, or any page you use for marketing.

{% hint style="info" %}
🤔 <mark style="color:purple;">**What's the difference between a link and a code?**</mark>

* **\</> Code**
  * If you paste it into the address bar and the video doesn't play, it's the player code.\
    It plays on pages built with HTML.
  * Paste it into the HTML editor of any web page, including your store's home page and product detail pages.
* **🔗 Link**
  * If you paste it into the address bar and the video plays, it's the player link.
  * Share it on social media, by text message, by email, or anywhere else that supports links. Some no-code tools also let you embed a video with a link.
    {% endhint %}

### Copy from the Library list

### Copy from the sidebar

### Copy the Displayer code as a video tag <a href="#videotag" id="videotag"></a>

* Some commerce platforms automatically strip out the Displayer code (iframe).
* If this happens, check **Video tag** in the copy window, then click **Copy Code**.
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Note: if you use a video tag, you need to replace it every time you change the player settings.**</mark>
  * <mark style="color:purple;">**This applies to Control Bar, Autoplay, Loop, and Auto Fit.**</mark>
  * Example: you're using video tag 1 with Autoplay on -> you turn Autoplay off -> check Video tag and copy the new code (video tag 2) -> delete video tag 1 from your page -> paste video tag 2 in its place.
* If you turn Autoplay off, make sure Control Bar is on so viewers can play the video.
  * Viewers can't play or pause a video tag by clicking it.

### **Copy the Displayer MP4 link**

{% hint style="info" %}

* With an MP4 video link, you can play videos uploaded to your Charlla Library in MP4 format.
* Use it in <mark style="color:purple;">**native mobile apps**</mark> or in custom-built services that need more flexibility.
* The MP4 format gives you a lot of freedom, but you need to adapt it to your service, which takes advanced coding.
* The player settings you set in Charlla <mark style="color:purple;">**don't apply.**</mark>
  {% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://1857767629-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fo7CC5HKFh1guYnGcyftj%2Fuploads%2FZ0UUPTuafRoUSaqMHiZd%2Fcopy_url-5-en.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Pick the right link or code for each purpose and get even more out of your Charlla player!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://support.charlla.io/en/userguide/library/copy_url.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
